This is
very incidental, but hub said over the past week several people in the field had come up to him and asked him if he knew Charlie Kirk. He thought that was really odd. It's not a household name for us
He works in law enforcement so they have to keep tabs on these kinds of things and so there's word of mouth as things continue to pop up. So it may just be that he's enjoying a surge in attention in general and any number of things could've put a spotlight on him and encouraged someone to act.
Putting myself in those shoes, just even hearing about him being spoken about around my own world offline would've been a clue that these politics are becoming much more mainstream. That's obviously another reason for someone to act out.
