[On Trans people]
“These people are sick,” he said, speaking about trans folks in 2023 on The Charlie Kirk Show. “I don’t say that lightly.” He went on to say he blamed “the decline of American men” on trans people. “Someone should’ve just took care of it the way we used to take care of things in the 1950s and 60s.”
“It’s a spiritual war and Christians don’t know how to respond to this. We must react politically,
we must ban trans affirming care, the entire country,”
“We need to have a Nuremberg-style trial for every gender-affirming clinic doctor,” Kirk said in 2024, referring to the joint tribunal that tried Nazis for atrocities committed during World War II. “We need it immediately.”
“How do you love somebody?” he said in an episode of Thought Crime. “You love them so much to correct their error. Let’s just take the pride conversation out because people think it’s an identification, which it’s not.
It’s just sexual behavior. If you meet an alcoholic or you meet a drug addict, do you affirm their struggle? No, you’re better than this. Let’s get you free from that activity.”
Kirk regularly posted about the “LGBTQ agenda,” and regularly derided brands, such as Disney, that included LGBTQ+ people into its stories. He even advocated for the destruction of public displays of pride flags.
Kirk also massively pushed for the bankruptcy of Target in the backlash to their support of Pride month. (Oop)
