Of course they are getting hate regarding the current situation (poor wording in my response to you on my part ), but in this country Muslims have a history of being hated on just for being Muslim.
Not to mention, anyone brown who thick idiots assume is a Muslim - see last years protests when random British-born residents were attacked because people assumed they were migrants.

I feel sorry for the Jewish people, too because they're also victims of discrimination of religious-fuelled hate... but also people should be able to say 'I feel sorry for Muslim people' without it becoming a religion-oppression Olympics. You can feel sorrow for multiple groups of people under persecution at one time.
