Admittedly those people sound like dicks that were trying to hide behind "joking" about your Dad's death (my condolences btw) because I don't even understand what the punchline to their "joke" would even be in the first place.

Where as Caroline's joke wasn't intended to be malicious, and I'm willing to bet that Nancy wouldn't react to that in the slightest if she weren't competing on Big Brother.
