It depends on how the comment came in during the conversation and what point he was trying to make if it would fit within that context. I think it's more likely he just brought it up to be provocative. I don't personally think people should be kicked for simple speech. The message it sends to me is that we don't go to BB expecting anything more than kiddy pool depth discourse. This means it will largely favor those who are accustomed to being able to shout utter nonsense as long as it stays "culturally positive". Questioning them directly means that person can easily be pushed towards a rule break. It's very easy to do that, imo
Arguably he was baited but that's comedy as he seems to have intended to put his own head on the pike so to speak so he could be marched around the media circuit after he was inevitably ejected/evicted. So I don't see him as a victim at all and don't think he was silenced for that same reason.
There's many people on Youtube in particular that have long form discussions about the same sensitive discourse that supposedly got him kicked, but in a dignified way, and they can comfortably achieve an audience.
The problem for George here is 1) He's not that great of an orator; His argumentation is honing in on flash points rather than an exchange of ideas/long form discourse ... it's also arguable whether he can handle disagreement.
2) He's on a reality show designed around emphasizing personal drama over substance. So he can pretend all day long he is there to be some high mind, but that's not what the game or the show prioritizes. The same is true for the others as well, they're not there for their supposed high mind lol.
ITV BB is built around pandering. HMs are there to say their "piece" which is usually just pandering to popular cultural themes.
That's probably why people like Elsa don't get on better than they should.. All her other faults aside, I think she's likely really intelligent, but she does seem higher in awareness and isn't as accustomed to having her opinions validated like some of the others are.
3) Given 1+2, the producers had every reason to think he was going to just keep starting fires for them to put out and so they had every reason to chuck him if they felt it were heading towards a legal liability if they didn't.
In this interview he is even admitting "I'm not even anti-Semitic!"... and then he also said (paraphrase) "I don't even care about arguing over conspiracy theories because we aren't meant to know the truth anyway, so why bother"... and yet he brings this up, so clearly to try to get more attention... probably from Production.
24/7 live feed sure would've been nice!
