Except that the phone number in question is actually a Big Brother eviction number and, instead of entering for the prize scoop, you're accidentally voting for one of the housemates to leave the House.

Just today we received an email with a scam currently doing the rounds:
"As a result of England going through to the quarter finals, Carling are giving away beer and a St Georges flag to the first 10,000 people to call this number..."
No surprise to learn that the number given is actually the number to evict Jonny from the Big Brother House this evening. But as with all scams, there is a fatal flaw that might give the game away - England haven't yet reached the quarter finals in the World Cup!

Be on your guard, folks!
How awful these scams are - it makes it hard to know if the eviction results are really genuine or not. I really hope this latest one isn't successful and that Jonny isn't evicted because of it.
