A good 50% of the cast had minimal impact.

I might be too harsh in retrospect but I just think it's something that every time I've caught clips of rewatches or whatever, it was largely a big, boring clique that picked off the eccentric housemates one by one.
This is a wide bump but how do you feel last year’s series measures up to BB7, a series you have somewhat ambivalent feelings about but can probably recognise is better than most of what followed at-least, even if on its own merit it wasn’t to your liking, with those isolated spikes of eccentricity providing most of the entertainment and not always for the better?

I’ve said before that I personally think last year was the best since BB7, if we-gon. hold down BB7 as a blueprint for decent, if not always tasteful, quality, and the vibrancy of housemates just wasn’t matched this year, so naturally I barely followed this one just-gone. Maybe it’s for precisely that reason that I’m missing some key context, maybe, for this year’s contestants but I dunno. I dunno. I know what I like and this year wasn’t it.
