New UK & USA 25% Increase Charge on Pharmaceutical pricing
[The UK government has agreed to increase the
cost-effectiveness threshold for
new medicines by 25%, raising the upper limit
of the NICE quality-adjusted life year (QALY) threshold.
This is part of a deal to avoid US tariffs on
UK pharmaceuticals and may
lead to higher overall drug spending for the NHS.
The agreement also involves capping the rebates
