I'm not nearly as deep and tend to treat unsolved mysteries as akin to a good campfire ghost story. Some of them really do send a chill up the spine. That obviously doesn't rob me of my ability to empathise with any victims in such cases, but my motive in watching/reading true crime is unashamedly morbid curiosity.
