It’s not a show that seems interested in ever getting truly better. Just louder and constantly updating, keeping up with the culture on-which some of the fifty gags per episode can be based. The baseline was already morally ugly. It never reached the same acclaim as the best adult-cartoons. Family Guy’s just … Family Guy. There was never any golden age to speak of in the first place. And Peter’s …well, Peter just being the way he is drives me up the wall. Homer Simpson is fundamentally lovable and loving in return to people besides his wife. Peter is closer to being a narc., just a comedically exaggerated buffoon of one. At this point, I actually hate him. I know it’s “just a cartoon” but still. People can find certain elements of Family Guy, if not the whole show, objectionable for all sorts of reasons.

Peter Griffin is a legend imo.
