There is competition, but not much of it is from the same demographic as BB fans, most of the competition is USTV and dramas.

Put it this way though, the official ratings for 'Big Brother: The love stories" which aired at 10pm the day before a very popular series (BB7) were 537,000. The officials for this auditions programme may match or beat that and that series peaked on launch night at 8.2 million viewers. So who knows.
