I can see your point. I certainly wouldn't mind losing the celeb BB - I never enjoy those as much as the regular show. I think the reason some people aren't enjoying it as much (I still love it), is because it does get boring just watching people argue all the time, and all of the characters - or the housemates we see most of - seem to have such larger than life characters. Obviously there has to be interesting people in there, but it's almost as if the people they are pick for it are caricatures. I don't mean that in any insulting way, so sorry if it comes across like that. It also seems quite obvious that in this series and last year, they deliberately picked people with the sole intention of causing disagreements and aggravation, by picking people whose beliefs are poles apart. For example, last year they put Marco in - he's gay and hated immigrants. They also put in Ahmed, who is an immigrant and hated gay people. They have done the same thing with the housemates this year. It was better in the earlier series - except BB4 killed it because for the main part, everyone got on too well - when they just picked people who were interesting and different, and shoved them all in the house together and watched what happened. They seem to pick more and more outrageous contestants every year! Also I think that the tasks that the housemates used to be set are now set with the intention of causing conflict, whereas in earlier series, the tasks drew the group together. Makosi's secret mission for example this year was obviously intended to cause conflict in the house - which it did.
I know this whole post seems like I'm slagging the programme off, but I'm honestly not - I still love the show! I'm just saying what I've heard others say. The show is becoming more and more over the top.
