I'm guessing you get member of the day for doing the most posts in a day?
If there was a reward for member of the day, you would just have idiots posting any old rubbish after every post to try and get their number of posts up. There's already a high number of inane posts, and the board could be swamped by uselss posts where people just post anything to get one step closer to member of the day.

I agree with you in that a huge number of posts each day are not worth reading.Sometimes they are just one word,sometimes not even a word,just a smilie.
When I first joined I didnt even know there was a member of the day until after 6 months when I stumbled across it on the general chat thread when someone started a thread about it.
But even though its there I dont flood the forum with inane posts,a lot of my posts are worthwhile reading Id say,rarely one liners.

I agree, I'd rather reward quality than quantity if we were going to do anything. (You're member of the day today at the moment though Lance!!)
