I disagree too. I'll tell you why: I think Darnell is possibly slightly on the autistic spectrum and his body language and mannerisms, and style of communication, (or lack of it) do him a disservice. I don't think he is sly, or a stirrer, and I can't think of a single incidence that would indicate he had been (enlighten me, by all means!). He obviously has massive issues with his condition which sometimes make him behave in a challenging way, (poor anger management, frustration etc) but generally I find him likeable, bright, and quite charming, in a quirky way.

He reminds me in some ways of Brian (God bless his heart). Never I done such a U-turn in all my life on another person as I did with Brian. I despised him as thick, loutish, loud and unpleasant at first, yet by the end end I thought he was pretty much the perfect human being; sweet, insightful, compassionate, gentle, with bags of integrity, and devoid of guile, malice, spite and ego. I'm not saying that Darnell will turn out that perfect, but some people need a little bit more time to be really known and understood, that's all.

And just in case you are wondering if I could transfer those comments to Alexandra to try and 'understand' her awfulness, erm, how can I put this? NO!
