I really think he thinks the people love him on the outside.... he doesn't understand that his actions are turning the people against him.

He just can't see that... it is a bit like the Saskia situation his in love with her and how could she not be in love with him. She can reject him all she likes but he still doesn't get the hint.

I'm sure he thinks everyone likes a cheeky chap and how could anyone not like him.
