Everyone in the house is a bit paranoid, but Stu's most paranoid, he won't stop going on about people thinking he's vain and loves himself. Obviously cause he knows he's vain and he loves himself. He's more or less telling us the answer in a manner of words.
He's paranoid about other things too as he keeps saying.
