Thanks for that Lesley;
In my local newspaper, (Plymouth) there is an article about Helen and her new video. Here it is:
Helen's stepping out to be a fitness instructor
OH MY God! It's TV'S Big Brother star Helen Adams and she is hoping to turn couch potatoes into a lean, mean machines with her new fitness video.
The Welsh hairdresser who shot to fame in this years Big Brother reality tv show might look like shes jumping on the celebrity bandwagon with her latest output.
But the blonde who won over the nation with such pilthy comments as, 'I like blinking I do' and, 'Is there chicken in chickpeas?' used to be a dance teacher in her native Wales.
Now shes using her skills in footwork to hekp you and I get fit.
Her video Dance Workout with Helen hits the stores this week.
"I used to teach dancing in Wales and I still try when I come back" said Adams, in the baby voice which we all grew to either love or hate, on Big Brother.
The workout video is her attempt to inject a bit of fun into exercise, having a bit of a laugh while you get fit.
"I didnt have a script. Do you think I could dance and have a script?" she giggled. "It was just Helen chatting. Im not that clever"
Theres a surprise appearance at the end of the video by a member of the first Bigf Brother household - you'll have to buy to find out who it is - yet she reveals she haas actually met a number of her Big Brotehr predecessors when she appeared in Children In Need.
"We did a dance routine for Children In Need and I met Darren, Claire, Craig and some others" she said. "For some reason in the first series of Big Brother they all hate each other. They found it hard to understand that we all like each other. Its probably because he had a nicer house"
Helen cant deny that, after months after Big Brother finished, she is still one of the most recongnisable people in the country, even if its just for her voice. Her agent tells a story about the two of them talking a toilet of a club when someone ina cubicle said, 'Oh my God, its Helen from Big Brother'
'People see my blonde hair and then I start to talk and people recognise me' Helen said. 'I get people coming up to me asking me to talk to their friend on their mobile and I say 'Hello' but then you dont know what to say as you dont even know who they are'
Helen went on the Big Brother for the experience, to have some fun and a bit of a rest and she doesnt regret it. While it wasnt always easy for her, she would quite happily go through it all again.
'I probably would do it again as I could do with a good sleep until three in the afternoon' she laughed. 'Id pick the people I went in with though and Id have my Mum to cook for me. Id do it all again if I could just walk in and walk out with no hype'
Now however shes putting that behind her and developing her tv career. Since Big Brother, shes had a spot of presenting on Lorraines Kelly early morning on Sky One but her plans beyond that are typically laid back.
'My Lorraine contract is until February but I just take ach day as it comes' she shrugged. 'I try not to think about the future. You dont know what is going to happen this afternoon really, do you?"
A Celebrity who doesnt feel famous!
Helen Adams says she likes all her old housemates but she has found it difficult to keep in touch.
She speaks to Brian every now and then but its mainly with Amma Antwi Agyei who she keeps in touch with.
And, of course, Paul Clarke - who she had much a publiscised fling in the Big Brother household.
The most famous couple- from the first show, theres Tom McDermott and Claire Strutton who have just had a baby and Sada Wilkington and Nichola Holt also got together - exchanged friendship rings while on holiday in Barbados.
Now they're moving in together in a flat in London.
Life since Big Brother has been a whirlwind of interviews and cameras but Helen seems quite settled in her new celelbrity lifestyle although she is adamant, she doesnt feel famous.
'I dont class myself as a celebrity, I just class myself as a Welsh girl whos been on Big Brother' she said. 'I just lived in a house with 10 people for 9 weeks and was just myself, that ws it'
