Hi everyone, my name is Nicole and I'm Angela's(Angiebabe's, I cant believe she chose that name ..lol))
daughter I've just got back from the hospital where Mom has successfully had her opperation and is recovering quite well.
There was a small complication where lack of blood momentarily stopped her heart but it shouldnt effect Moms recovery to much, we expect her home in a week to 10 days.
It was a major opp (2 hours) 'radical mastectomy' where the whole breast is removed, Mom is now naturally upset feeling disfigured and her biggest challenge I think starts now.
My dad and family have reminded her though that she is well on the way to beating the cancer, that has to be the only result worth having, despite the cosmetic cost.
Mom will come through this though and she has good support from so many of us.
Her bedside was almost flooded with letters cards and messages, I thought we had a sizeable family but my god the main bulk of well wishes came from you people here.
It impressed the nurses who thought she was a celebrity and were trying to figure out who it might be, mom said she was Barrack Obama's wife till my dad showed up and ruined a great story..:-)
Everyone on the ward has been effected, (not as my dad says infected.. tut) by her sillyness, and to pass the time the patients on her ward take time to read your comments which have touched them ALL without exception.
Mom wanted to say above all that thier oppinion of the young people of today really are in the main great people and properly represented by your kind words.
Mom asked me to say this in particular, "tell them they (on tibb) should be dominating the documentries on the young of today and not what we actually get" I think she's coverted the whole of D ward with those beliefs
Mom also asked me to thank each and everyone of you PERSONALLY for all your wonderfull best wishes, prayers, love and sincere kindness.
