I don't think it was chessy, just really right, that does happen in life sometimes you know.
I personally think that they weren't faking it they just didn't really know what they felt or wanted, being in such an abnormal environment messes with you head abit.
I think that perhaps they might of even felt fake themselves just because in their real lives it wouldn't usually happen. That doesn't make their feelings not real, just not long lasting. (IMO)
