Prophet Mohammed didn't make 4 wives compulsory, Quran does say to marry only one but in certain situations such as to balance male to female ratio, or to help the widows, It is permissable for men can marry 4 times with the permission of first wife, as long as you treat each of them equally, Bible however said men can marry as much as they like, Quran came and put a restriction. Also there is a marraige contract, and if the first wife doesn't want her husband to marry again whilst he is married to her, and the husband accepts and signs, then the husband cannot marry someone else in the future.

No, they were married when she was 6 and he raped her when she was 9. This is not only writen in the Qur'an.... but it is writen by Aisha's own account any many others.
Yet again your comment and answer has no logic, you are just looking at things too blindely, I ask you to provide one proof of evidence that prophet raped anyone. It is well-known in history that life expectancy was very low especially when there were not doctors or medicine which affected living longer, especially for girls, so age 6/9 was equivalent to 17 of today. What would you do, would you marry someone and live with them longer, or marry someone who is near to their death bed?

Quote:
Muhammad's marriage to Aisha is seen by some as controversial, mainly because of her age during the marriage. It was a common practice for women to wed at a very early age. D. A. Spellberg

Colin Turner, a professor of Persian language and Islamic history, states that Muhammad's marriage, in its historical context, would not have been considered the least improper. Such marriages between an older man and a young girl were customary among Bedouins. Coulin further writes that Arabs in the seventh century tended to reach adulthood at an earlier age than Westerners today.[21]
Both of these non-muslims have said you just cannot compare ancient times to today, even if prophet married her, he married her when she reached her puberty where your no longer a child.

He married Aisha in contract initially and then she lived with him three years later. There are varying reports about her age when she married him some sources say 6,9,12,15 and the Shia say 18. According to Sheikh Hamza Yusuf all the narrations about her age at the time of marriage are singular narrations therefore there isn't one that stands out and we can affirm that narration.

In any case when she married him, she was fully formed woman, in other words capable of child birth. This was perfectly normal in that time, as it was the practice of the Arabs at that time to marry women at 12, when they had reached puberty and they did not live together until three years after that.

In most of the books, scholars generally say the age was twelve and then she went to live with him when she was fifteen, after the emigration to Medina.

When Muhammad came to rape her, she was playing with dolls according to the hadith.

This is a 9 year old girl
Provide your evidence dont assume things or read into hate sites which they lead you to lies

There are several reasons for this marriage, Aisha (may God be pleased with her) reported the second most narrations about him (over two thousand), she was the first female scholar and she taught hundreds if not thousands of students.

She corrected other companions when they made mistakes, she was a living authority of religious knowledge in her time. Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) was also married to Safiyyah, the daughter of Huyayy ibn Akhtab, the leader of a Jewish tribe in Arabia. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)married her when she was 16 years old and guess what? He was her third husband; she was married twice before him.

So, how old do you think she was when she got married to her first husband? Probably around 12 or 9, just like `A’ishah (May Allah be pleased with her).

According to the Encyclopaedia Britannica—which is a Western source written by non-Muslim scholars and scientists — puberty is “in human physiology, the stage or period of life when a child transforms into an adult normally capable of procreation,” which essentially means “sexually mature.” She was engaged before him to the son of Uqbah ibn Muayt. He was one of the idol worshipers of the Quraish, who had abandoned her because of her father’s strong position in supporting Islam

Quote:
This is Muhammad when he was 52
And??? During before Islam women were not allowed to be even be educated or be a political leader, Aisha was one of the first women scholars.

Quote:
ur 'religion' accepts that that man, rapeing that girl was acceptable. Not only was muhammad a pedophile but he gave his approval to every other pedophile that worshiped islam.
Again your post has no logic, rape is a gravest sin in Islam, and if anyone commits rape he is faced death penalty. In Quran it mentions many time not to force a women against their will, niether can force marraige is allowed as practised in some countries today which is against Islam.

Quote:
can not consent.
In historical context she was an adult. By the way try looking at what other historians are saying that Aisha's age cannot of been 6, because in the time of Hijrah she was around in her 20s.

s no equlivence, the fact that you are trying to make justifications indicates that as some level you know it is wrong.
Please dont read hate sites, read proper sources and read something with understanding.

Quote:
sical and mental state of a 9 year old girl is vastly different from that of a 18 or 19 year old woman. There is no comparason.
Now that people live longer, yes its changed, but at that time girls as well as boys reached their adulthood around atleast 9.

Quote:
that the life span was not 40... of the people in the Qur'an over 80% of them lived natural lives longer than 65 years. In the hadiths the people mentioned over 90% of them lived natural lives over 70 years.
Just because some did, doesn't mean everyone did.

Quote:
'an is not the sole source of law for Islam. Show me where Shria law is in the Qur'an.... it isn't... it comes from the Hadiths. Muslims use the hadith as guidence just as much as the Qur'an... they detail the life and teachings of muhammad which muslims are to follow.
Some parts of Hadith does contradict, but I advice you to read Sahi Bukari hadith, if some parts do contradict, muslims are adviced to go back to the quran to coorect it.

Quote:
No religion spoke about freedom of faith whilst quran said "No Compulsion in Religion", a black equal to white was completely unheard of until couple of decades where racism here was made illegal, and 1400 centuries Prophet said a Black and white are all equal.
Quote:
d the Apostle say: 'Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal!' He was a black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks.... Allah sent down concerning him: 'To those who annoy the Prophet there is a painful doom." [9:61] "Gabriel came to Muhammad and said, 'If a black man comes to you his heart is more gross than a donkey's.'" (Ishaq:243)
Yet again your quoting something that isn't in the quran, it was well-known that Prophet freed black slave Bilal who gave the first call to prayer, and was one of Prophet's best friends, so to say he was racist is illogical when he had best friend Bilal. Most of Ishaq's works were lost and then editted, if you read the source.

Quote:
the son of Noah was the father of the Arabs, the Persians, and the Greeks; Ham was the father of the Black Africans; and Japheth was the father of the Turks and of Gog and Magog who were cousins of the Turks. Noah prayed that the prophets and apostles would be descended from Shem and kings would be from Japheth. He prayed that the African's color would change so that their descendants would be slaves to the Arabs and Turks." (Tabari II:11)
[/quote]

and the one bukhari verse you had actually condems racism the meaning of the verse is that the arabs should follow anyone in charge no matter what race he is or what bodily shape he has, it refers to bilal one of the first converts to islam who was a slave, he was held highly by the prophet and arabs were angered at why they should listen to a former slave and the prophet responded with that to let them know why they should .

every quote you gave was from a non confirmed hadith tabari, ishaq are not one of the six confirmed hadiths Non-muslims always use the unconfirmed and unreliable hadiths to deface islam when in reality the hadiths they quote from arent recognized as authentic or confirmed as a true hadith. If you read biography of Ishaq, most of his written works were editted and lost, Tabari isn't cosidered 100% authentic. The Hadith that is most reliable is the Sahi Bhukari, few may contradict, but the guy has done superb job for gaining info and putting them.

Islam is not a racist religion, nor does it preach racism. The peoples of other faiths have always enjoyed religious toleration under Islam; when the Jews were being persecuted in the rest of Europe, they found freedom and
sanctity in Muslim Spain. Their historians regard that as one of their Golden Eras. In the Muslim countries today, Christians are permitted to practise their faith as freely as any country; the Churches in my home town
of Abu Dhabi are large in number, and one of my closest family friends, an Anglican priest. Inter-cultural marriages are common in Islam; I am the composite of five different cultures.

By the way there was a christian slave girl from Byzantine empire, Prophet married her even though she was christian,s and is considered also the mother of believers.
