I half agree. If you worded it like "There's loads of jokes going around about how blondes can't be intelligent, what are your views on this?" it'd be a bit like this.

True, except this thread wasn't worded that way either.
"Muscles and intelligence don't mix.. discuss if you wish" does sound like a statement to me!
If I'd have worded it:
"Blondes and intelligence don't mix.. discuss if you wish" it'd be treated worse!
I could say I didn't mean to offend later on in the thread but needless to say, some blondes would probably still have been offended by that statement.
