I've watched only up to the All-Stars season, but I definitely think that the original Survivor was the best (and actually the island was not far from where Shipwrecked is currently filmed!)
Mainly because it was a brand new experience and it really was the first mega hit reality show (besides The Real World, but that was an exception, it got trashy after the 2nd season)
I also enjoyed the 2nd season as well, but I think that the gameplay just got nastier and nastier as the seasons went on: a contestant even lied that his grandmother died so that the other contestants would reward him with a prize!
The format is so worn out now, but I was obsessed with Survivor: Palau Tiga/Borneo and Survivor: Australia.
