It's kinda like a group of people that always speak to each other and have in-jokes all the time... kinda like a gang.
But like I said in my first post - I think we need to form a distinction between just people who are friends with each other, and cliques (whom I feel ignore other members, and, as Z said, have a "gang mentality").
