His just annoyed his present means he would sit alone for an hour and listen to music, unlike Lisa's which will give her loads of spotlight and attention... and the focus for an entire episode. He wanted, and expected, something huge like Lisa's and was just annoyed he wasn't gonna be getting attention. So he threw a fit and got the attention his own way. He is SUCH an attention seeker, making all the housemates try to convince him to use his present and make him feel better and then the whole repetitive "what is WRONG with me?!"... I could think of a few things.
