It would surprise me if he did give it to charity, but I think it would be a really good move on his part if he stayed true to his word. It's different though since he's already in a position in life where he wants to be, with the money he wants - so charity would benefit more from the money than him getting extra. The same can't be said for the other housemates so I wouldn't hold that against them at all.

In fact, one of the main reasons I was against wanting Rex to win (for practical reasons) was because of the money - what would he do with it? But that question has been cleared up now.
