You could definitely make a case for this being the best BB ever. I don't know that it is better than S5, I think that they're too different to compare. I'd say they were about even. S5 was more volatile, and while this one had the group vs group dynamic, week after week, the gossipy group got picked off. Not a single wrong eviction in the whole series. There wasn't another Victor-type gameplayer, but you'll never get one of those. Rex was a classic housemate though, and Darnell is certainly the most complex, fascinating character they've ever had in there. You'd also struggle to find a housemate who provided as many moments of entertainment as Mikey. Just put his name into Youtube, he's forever getting hit with something, being insane or completely disgusting with food all over his face. BB9 was more of that social experiment stuff, the back and forth, up and down of people's relationships, with a huge amount of classic tasks, and pitch-perfect housemate casting, while S5 is remembered for, again perfect casting and great tasks, but mostly the battle between two sides of housemates.

My enduring image of BB9 is the look on Mikey's face as he stalks the bedroom, flicking his long fingers into a cup of water while going "CUPS O' WATER FOR EVERYONE! CUPS O' WATER, IT'S CUPS O'WATER!"
