Now you know I really like Helen, so the following may come as a surprise. I've seen this morning's Big Breakfast and I'm afraid she was a little lacklustre.

I think she might have been late to start with. Quite a build up with that funny little guy (?name) dressed in spandex waking up reluctant people on an Essex housing estate before she arrived. (?PC dropped her off on way to Ford Dagenham plant?).

H eventually arrives and they pan to her standing looking cold and miserable, and well, a bit gormless, dressed in her normal jeans & leather bomber jacket. When she eventually realised she was on camera she stuck her tongue out with chewing gum on it!
Return to studio scene, everyone looking slightly grossed out, including Mark Frith.

When they returned, with residents lined up and aforesaid little bloke whose name escapes me, he asked if her exercise video was just a scam. She didn't really answer that at all and replied that he should bring one out. She then failed to give any advice to residents when he asked her to and just got them to jump up and down, whilst standing still herself! Oh dear!! He really had to rescue the scene, as she seemed unprepared and unable to improvise.

It's a pity but I thought she could have done better, didn't take an opportunity to sell herself or her video.

A promised return to the scene did not materialise, so she had no chance to redeem herself. Don't think they'll rush to have her back I'm afraid.

Worst of all, I can confirm no engagement ring sighting, despite clear sighting of appropriate finger!!!!
Even an off-day performance from Helen is still preferable to Brian and Paul anyday. They cannot afford NOT to have her back. Helen is still a media Queen in my opinion.
