I was referring to Fahad, as a resident Muslim, because he is the nearest we have to an expert witness. I was not inferring any racial derogative.
Also this charge of racism is not really accurate as a person of my ethnic group can in theory convert to Islam. The term would be Islamophobic. However I have good conversations about religion and spiritual matters with the proprietor of the local Halal Fish and chip shop.
BTW for reference it was the Daily Mail I first saw this in, but it was covered in other papers. Also we were given certain instructions at work, which caused some stress when I first read through the instructions.

You wouldn't like it if someone claimed to represent your beliefs. If you were in any minority, and newspapers were reporting what YOU believed inaccurately (thinking all people of that minority thought the same way) you wouldn't like it.

Sorry your logic is seriously flawed......Out of respect we should have the decency not to eat in front of muslims during their fasting......Pure rubbish.......
Respect is a two way street..If we should respect their culture then they should also respect other peoples cultures and out of RESPECT EAT as a matter of decency that they respect other peoples culture.......
Why is it in the minds of some that respect has to be from one side only.......Liike I said a seriously flawed and I might add racialistic form of logic.....

Respect IS a two way street. If Christianity had a period of fasting, I would say that out of respect for Christians, Muslims should not eat in front of them during that fasting.
