Conor I know what you're feeling like right now. All my friends are still in the same year as me, but I've been put in a different class to them for the whole of this year and it's horrible. There's this one girl Kirsty, who I'll sit by and she chats to me at times, and then my two ex-best friends who I used to be so close with but I really dislike them now. They're okay at times, but especially one of them has really changed into a proper idiot. I've been to my head of year about it and hopefully I'm moving into a different class.
It's only a few lessons I'm on my own though so it's not as bad as your case.
