Betting on the next eviction has been a short and sweet affair this week. No sooner had we stuck our head above the parapet by offering odds on PJ being the next housemate to leave then we promptly had it shot off by hundreds of punters up and down the country.
Everyone out there having a bet seems to be absolutely convinced that the baldy Brummie boy will be the next to have a heart to heart with Davina back in the studio.
Meanwhile the serious market of who's going to win has become more competitive than ever. Kate is emerging as an ever stronger candidate for the big prize. Available at odds of 12/1 only a fortnight ago, Kate can now be backed at 9/4 (only a sixth of the previous price).
Many pundits predicted that a woman couldn't win this competition, but a lot of punters are out to prove the pundits wrong and they're backing Kate for all they're worth.
Kate's two principal rivals are Alex and Jonny. Long time favourite Alex has now been leapfrogged by cheeky chappy Jonny, who has thankfully cheered up enormously since the famous divide came down.
Alex had been odds on for a few weeks but has now drifted to be just a 15/8 shot. Jonny's odds, meanwhile, have passed Alex going in the opposite direction and have tumbled to just 5/4, making the fireman a red hot favourite.
According to the current betting trends the remaining trio of housemates have only the slimmest chance of winning. Jade is a 14/1 chance while PJ can be backed at 33/1. Given that PJ looks a certainty to depart this week, Tim can rightly be concerned that at 50/1 he's an even bigger outsider than the apparently condemned man!
