My brother has had it to help him breathe through his nose, the nose is the most common place to have it done for medical reasons, because sometimes the bone is to big or grows weird and it blocks you from being able to breathe so they chip it away.
My sister had plastic surgery on her lips under the NHS too after she got hit by a bike, they used micro stitches and re shaped her lip for her... its very very common.

Random fact about me... I'm 19 in 3 months.
