And survival of the fittest ethos to do with sex was developed by the Evolutionary Psychs rather than Freud, he only dabbled in it slightly.
Personally I'm with the neuropsychologists. Sex gives us pleasure, which increases serotonin, which makes us want to do it more & more.... & more.
