Minus her being a better singer than Christina, Britney, Beyonce all put together, the girls got soul, she puts emotion into her songs. She isn't factory produced like every other pop star, She doesn't care about her image, she just cares about getting out music she is proud of.
Her lyrics are amazing and raw and her music pushes the pop/rock boundaries far far more than pink does. In my own opinion she is the most under rated pop star today. She doesn't get the recognition she deserves and the reason I am such a fan of hers is because she is a normal girl with a breathtaking voice. She cares about her fans so much, and they are her number one priority, she turned down $10million because she wouldn't replace some of her songs on her last album... songs written by top writers. She isn't about just the charts she is about true music.
Name me another pop star that does that, the reason you don't find her special is because she is never in the spotlight and she never gets recognized for her potential. Watch her live and you will understand every time I have seen her live 3 times, and every time she has give it 110% and has blown me away, she actually nearly reduced me to tears at the last one. Watch these if you need persuasion, just a few covers she has done, but she is a TRUE performer, no dancers on stage, no stupid gimmicks, its her, a band and a microphone, she is one pop star who is actual real music...
