And yes, I admit I loathe most northern English accents (except Geordie). I consider it an affliction to talk with Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds accents. That girl speaking with I imagine to be a Lancs accent in the porchettas adverts makes my skin itch.
As for Science fans, I'm sure there are a few of them who aren't obsessed and copy his mannerisms, however, I still think a lot of young people will immitate his aggressive style because they are not brought enough to think for themselves.

. Your use of comments like "Go back to your council houses you dole scroungers" are deeply offensive, not to mention inaccurate. I am not a dole scrounger, and I own my own house, but unlike you I don't believe that it makes me a better person than anyone else.
You say Derek has stopped war breaking out between the housemates? What a joke. Derek causes most of the problems - he loads the bullets for other people to fire, for example the way he went on and on at Kemal to have a go at Orlaith the other night. Incidentally, I don't think people dislike Derek because of the way he speaks - maybe they don't like the fact that he's a snob?
You criticise people because you think they like Science because of the way he speaks (you seem unable to provide any evidence to back up this assertion however), yet you have indicated that you like Derek because of the way he speaks. Same thing really.

If you don't like Science, fair enough. We all like and dislike different housemates for different reasons, but I think you are exceptionally rude to call the people on this board "peasants" and "dole scroungers." How dare you claim to know anything about anybody on this board, other than what they have posted here?
As for your comments about regional accents, and considering it an affliction to speak with a Lancashire accent, I consider it YOU are the one who is afflicted, as you are unable to look past the accent and listen to what people are saying. You make sweeping generalisations about people, based on what housemate they like, and openly admit that you like someone purely because they are a fan of fox hunting. Your opinion on fox hunting is not the issue here - however, the fact that you are prepared to like someone because of their accent and their hobby, without even looking at what they are like as a person says a lot about you.
If you think we're all such 'peasants' (your words), why do you bother to come here? Surely you don't believe that we are worthy of your great presence. That's the impression you give anyway.
