When Im at work on the phone to my work collegues oop north in Warwick, theyre always taking the mikey out of my accent. I get replies like "alwight aaahs it gaanin me ole mate" Talk about stereotyping me as a character in East-bleeding-enders! (which I hate, by the way) I dont even talk like a cockney. I just laugh if off and ask them about their cloth caps and whippets.
We need to laugh ourselves in these rotten days of political correctnesss where every little comment is taken as offence. To hell with that nonsense.
