I'm pleased to see the rest of the housemates rebel aaginst Derek & resume talking to Science. I agree he was calmer yesterday, & it will do Derek good to see that he is not as in control as he thought. I've noticed that Science listens when the conversation is not petty, or simply bitching - he doesn't like it & walks away. I remember Derek sitting with Science trying to "teach" him communication skills & Science was listening - & admitted he could learn from Derek. In fact, during that conversation - Derek told Science that he felt he could WIN if he changed his communication slightly! Was that the time Derek realised Science was a threat? Science unfortunately is very easy to wind up, he wants to be respected as an equal housemate, & to have his fair share of things, but as soon as he thinks he is not getting either - he kicks off! This has been used against him - ie the cheese & wine incidents with Max, & the mince issue - He will have to learn & as Ruth & Fernzy pointed out =yesterday saw the possibility that he is.

There is one big incident which seems to have been forgotten, Science was warned by BB following a spat with Maxwell over throwing a bin - that whole incident arose because Science DID NOT agree that Derek should be "Water bombed" in his bed by the rest of the group! Derek obviously has a short or selective memory? This was one of the things that impressed me about Science - it would have been easier to be a sheep that night, & bomb Derek to gain popularity, but he chose "fair play" & took the consequences. Put in the same situation even now, I think he would do the same. I wish he'd gone ahead & bobmed him! I agree with Ruth about Makosi too - she has spoke out about Derek genuinely & not just for popularity, - & I think she was most influential in getting the others to start talking to Science again, despite Derek's looks of disgust. Science will learn from his experience, stay or go...we'll see. - I'm half-way through my £20 pledge - from another thread
