Gordon Ramsay has revealed that his father used to subject him and his siblings to regular beatings.
According to the celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay Snr. would hit him and his family after a night's drinking.
"Things were thrown, we had to run for our lives. I remember being woken in the night, mum screaming, and rushing down the street in our pyjamas to a neighbour's to wait for the police," he told The Telegraph.
However, the star admitted that he would have liked to have reconciled with his father before his death in 1997.
"I regret not making up with him. I was in a position to forgive, but not forget, and move on. But I was negative because of how much of our lives he had wasted," he said.
