Hero song holds out at top of chart X Factor charity single Hero - released to raise money for servicemen and women injured in the line of duty - has made it three weeks running at number one.
The track, recorded in support of the Help For Heroes and the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, is the fastest selling charity record of the decade and the fastest selling single of 2008.
The chancellor Alistair Darling has already said the Government will waive VAT on the power ballad, chosen for its inspirational title and lyric, and major retailers have announced all profits from the sale of the single will be donated to the Help For Heroes fund.
