Two NEW I'm A Celebrities face kidnap ordeal by 'terrorists' as producers inject extra drama
Two new contestants will enter the jungle in a elaborate kidnap plot.

Former Mis-teeq singer Su-Elise Nash, 27, and Eighties pop star David Van Day, 51, will be kidnapped by 'terrorists' on their way to meet the fellow contestants in the Australian bush.

ITV bosses will hold the celebrity pair to ransom and it will be up to their fellow campers to get them back to safety as soon as possible.

The twist will take place after the 10 celebrities have been reunited in Home camp.

However, the celebrity campers could have an upper hand in the shape of former Metropolitan police chief Brian Paddick.

His experience with hostage situations in the police force will undoubtedly prove useful in returning the abductees to safety.

The kidnapped stars will be given meagre rations of rice and beans - and they will be holed up in a grotty den filled with jungle nasties including rats and creepy crawlies.

The stunt is expected to last a couple of nights and the pair will be subjected to creepy jungle challenges in order to secure a speedier return to camp.

Ransom notes will also be sent to Home camp, where the celebrities will be forced to forfeit luxury items, food rations and clothing to get their teammates back.

A similar stunt was seen on Big Brother’s Celebrity Hijack earlier this year where a crack SAS team abducted two contestants and held them to ransom on the Channel 4 show.

An insider said: ‘There are loads of twists in the new series to keep the contestants on their toes – and this is really going to shock them.

It’s something we’ve never seen before on I’m A Celebrity, so it’s going to come as a complete surprise.’
