X Factor’s Austin in good cause gig A PERFORMANCE by an X Factor contestant will be among the highlights of International Day of Disabled People in Basildon.
To promote the global day, a series of events will take place in St Martin’s Square tomorrow.
TV’s X Factor contestant Austin Drage will be be belting out a song or two on a temporary stage at 2pm.
Other events – starting from 10am – will include guide dog display, a wheelchair assault course, where members of the public to experience the barriers that disabled people face, as well as live plays and music. The event has been organised by Basildon Council and the charity DIAL – Disablement Information and Advice Line.
The theme of this year’s event is Dignity and justice for all of us.
