Right so by starting a thread X wants me to change my name to BJ, then getting your name change some bright individual had the idea of recycling your username as a joke so you couldn't have it back.
Basically you have been had by some practical joker.... who doesn't post much (see above)
I'd look closely at your friends. The people that knew it was changed and when it was changed.
