Default First Ministers vote for Eoghan

Quote:
First Ministers vote for Eoghan
THEY may not always be in agreement but it seems Eoghan Quigg has managed to unite Northern Ireland’s First and Deputy First Ministers.

The DUP leader Peter Robinson and Sinn Fein’s Martin McGuinness have both come out in support of the Dungiven teenager as he prepares for the biggest gig of his life.

In a joint statement the politicians both praised his achievements and urged the Northern Ireland voting public to get behind him.

Mr Robinson: “Reaching the final of the X Factor is a tremendous achievement for anyone, not least someone as young as Eoghan.

“I wish him all the best and would encourage everyone here to lift their phones and vote for him.”

And Mr McGuinness added: “It is not often you would find the First Minister and I canvassing for the same candidate, but Eoghan deserves the support of us all in his continued bid for stardom.

“I wish him well on Saturday, but whatever the result, he has already done us proud.”
