Your right to highlight this Pink, and joking apart it speaks volumes now about todays very selfish socierty.
A company is going bust and with it 25,000 ordinary working men and woman's jobs who not only have to work long hours over Christmas (in retail thats standard every year) yet all the customers flocking through the doors the other day (i saw on the news) seemed more bothered about there saving or lack of, there was absolutely no consideration for the staff's predicament or that of other customers.... and that is quite frankly obscene, but should we expect more from this socierty we live in now where we excuse bad behaviour...or blame it on some other person or circumstance.
We 'reward' youths who flout the law pleading ignorance, yet suddenly spring to life when directing docu drama film crews around the neighbourhood.
We excuse mothers and find the most bizzare reasons why it CAN be easily possible to father half a football team by different men, not only consider them normal, but we throw them half a dozen lifelines including TV fame right on the back of there questionable lifestyle, we now call there "brave past".
In this day an age telling your teenage son or daughter to walk away from drugs, petty crime and sporning babies in exchange for a "better" life of hard work and study in order to gain respect and a decent livelyhood, should be understandably met with laughter.
Youth's of today(socierty in general) are fast running out of role models who have properly EARNT respect through hard work, study and relentless practise and training of there natural talent.
The order of the noughties is simple, live like pond life blame a bad child hood do something anti social avoid anything even remotely challenging (including speaking properly) and sign up to every opportunity to get on one of the billion TV chanels that hover like vultures to make a new slob a complete hero.
Only the real brave now do it the proper way, and for that they get a few nice comments and blogs on obscure (by comparison) websites and facebook, and thats the problem, we as a nation have just stopped rewarding decent standards and real hard working and proper talent.
Its all here on tibb if only this country was moderated like this forum, you'd see one hell of a fabulous difference almost overnight.
