Channel 4 survive on commercial profits, if something isn't profitable enough then they aren't going to continue with it especially with the state the Channel 4 funds are in at the minute. Fair enough on the profitability. I don't see the problem with text-based voting though - surely premium rate phone lines are just as dangerous?
