Mini Me gets mini stairs for Big Bruv

PINT-sized actor Verne Troyer is aiming high on Celebrity Big Brother — after getting a special miniature staircase with wheels.

Verne, 39 — best known as Mini Me in the Austin Powers films — stands just 2ft 8in.


Producers have already spent thousands refitting the Big Bruv house so that Verne can reach things like light switches and cupboard handles when the celebrity show starts tomorrow night.


But the star still feared he would be humiliated by adult-sized fixtures and fittings — and asked bosses to get him a set of mini-stairs on wheels.


An insider said: “Verne is tiny, so everything in his own home is decked out so he can use it.


“When he agreed to go into the BB house it was on condition that it was fitted out for him.


“But he knows it can’t all be miniature as there will be ten normal-sized people in there with him.


“So he’s asked for a set of little stairs that he can drag around the house to help him get on to chairs or into bed.”


But Verne may still face some ribbing on the show. When asked what he’d do if he could set the housemates a task, new Big Brother Big Mouth host Jack Whitehall said: “I’d do something where the little dwarf fella would have to reach something off a high shelf.”


Other celebs joining the latest edition of the show include Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, model Lucy Pinder and controversial politician Tommy Sheridan.
