Sure you can, because a lot of them do. And that tends to be the **** way in which the world works. Unfortunately, and as unfair as it can be, stereotypes have to come form somewhere and have to have some basis in truth.

yeah well i dont agree. alot of chavs r my friends and hardly any of them do what uu said lol.

All that I am saying is a lot of Chav's are scum. I agree, not all of them are, and im sure you have friends who are not, but the ones who are scums innevitably end up getting stereotyped.
You might notice it is always the negative aspects of a subculture that bring forth the stereotypes, ruining it for everybody else
