At least he gave reasons, and fair ones at that. It's not as if he did it out of spite is it!
He hasn't agreed with some things she has said/done in the house.
Now, after a day in there with 10 others and one has been a bit icy towards you, wouldn't YOU nominate them over anybody else? I know I would.
