I don't know how Derek can call anyone stupid. I think his game plan is simple - "lets turn everyone against the person I want out".
All Derek does is bitch and talks about his own field (politics).
He hasn't a degree and hates to discuss that. Not saying that you need a degree to be intelligent at all, but he seems ashamed of not having one.
People who are intelligent in my opinion are good all rounders. They can talk about many things. One of the most interesting conversations I heard was Makosi, Science, Orlaith and Kemal talking about religion. Whilst this interested and entertained me, the camera then went on to Derek boring me with his constant whinging.
Kathy Burke pointed out he misquotes Shakespeare, which is hilarious as he does and for a big "fan" of tennis why doesn't he know what month Wimbledon is in?! GRRR! He only hated Science because he was intelligent and would gang up on Eugene too if he didn't see him as such an easy to get rid of person
