It's bad news isn't it ?? I know lots of fine, pleasant and upstanding Liverpudlians (like my OH and MiL) who are the salt of the earth and intelligent too but why oh why do these people always seem to go for extreme stereo types ??? GRRRRR.......
Take for example the oldish curator at the museum in Liverpool who took us especially in to see an exhibition that we just missed as it was closing. He was a real old Liverpudlian bloke - politically aware, knowledgeable and with a proper old accent - not the whiney one! There's plenty about but they only show the thick gobby ones........
