This album is noted for being Carey's biggest commercial & criticial failure to date. Critics called it 'weak' & 'silly' along with the movie of the same title (which this record is the soundtrack for). The flop of this record led to a mental breakdown by Carey and her split from Virgin Records. This album really should be noted for being incredibly underrated! It's a cool, funk, disco, soul & R&B album & her voice shines the whole way through.
